Why Camera Inspection Before Any Sewer Work

Any plumber who quotes sewer repair without a camera first is guessing — and you're paying for that guess.

Sewer Camera Inspection — Your Questions Answered

How is the camera accessed?
We access through a sewer cleanout (a capped pipe usually near the foundation or in the yard), or through a toilet if no cleanout is present. The process is clean — no digging, no major disruption.
Should I get a sewer inspection when buying a home?
Yes — absolutely. Standard home inspectors don't go inside the sewer line. A failed sewer line can cost $5,000–$15,000+ to replace. A $200–$300 camera inspection before closing can save you from inheriting a major problem.
What does the camera actually show?
Root intrusion, pipe cracks and fractures, grease or scale buildup, pipe bellies (sags), offset joints, and full or partial collapse. The HD camera gives us clear real-time video of the full line length.
What if the inspection shows a problem?
We give you options — repair vs. replace — with flat prices for each. You decide what makes sense. There's no pressure and no obligation to proceed with us, though most customers do because they appreciate the honesty.
How long does it take?
Most residential sewer camera inspections take 45–60 minutes including the written report. We don't rush through it.
